Is this blog dead?

Is this blog dead? Nearly. It's been about 9 months since my last post. For anyone that's actually been reading it - sorry. I've been sporadic before, but this is pretty sad. In my defense things have been crazy... After a 6+ month recovery from a broken neck, my Miracle Fred is back in action. Easing back into things, we went out climbing a couple weekends now. On the first weekend we froze in Holcomb Valley (pics below) in 60 degrees and high winds, and the second weekend we roasted in Apple Valley under a scorching sun and 90 degrees. Gotta love Southern CA.

On another note, since people post their photos on Facebook before I even get home from whatever they were taking pictures of me doing, I don't see the need to keep this blog as updated as before. So, really not sure how much posting will happen in the future. As it is, I snagged these two photos from a friends facebook album just to share with anyone that might be reading this.

1/25/09: New Jack City

Another less-than-warm day in New Jack City. This time with Chris and Ely.

Cali Coast, Part 3 of 3, 1/19/09

On the way back, stopped to the check out the coast in Santa Barbara...

Cali Coast, Part 2 of 3, 1/18/09

We mountain biked at Montana de Oro State Park on the San Luis Obispo coast, just north of Pismo. There were beautiful sea cliffs and migrating gray whales!

There was a scary drop off beside this single track.

After our ride, we walked out on the sea cliffs.

There was an 8-foot swell and some really good surfers.

We stayed and watched the sunset.

There was a cute seal playing in the surf...

Cali Coast, Part 1 of 3, 1/17/09

Took a mini mountain biking trip up the coast to Pismo Beach. Stopped part way in just north of Ventura for a ride. Beautiful views...

Sunset over Pismo Beach...

Holidays 2008, Part 5 of 5, 12/27

"Alfalfa, will you swing me?" -- ""Sure, Darla."

After we cracked heads...

Is your head okay?

Hmm. Maybe we should charge North Face to wear their stuff...

Back at Fred's parent's house in Massachusetts. The crew...

Playing with the wii...

We spent a lot of late nights playing this game "Colorku"...

Holidays 2008, Part 4 of 5, 12/26

The day after Christmas. Waiting for Unlcle Fred to arrive. Nora was hoping some of his gifts were actually for her.

Grampy at work...

Nora helped Uncle Fred open his gifts...

We had fun playing Taboo. Girls against the boys. The girls won!

Fun toys...

I made this tree ornament at least 25 years ago, maybe 30 :)
